About the NBL ladder

The NBL ladder on this page ranks the ten clubs by winning percentage, as basketball standings do, with games played, wins, losses, points for and against, point differential and the last five results.

It is counted from the results on the NBL schedule. First and second are marked for the semi-finals and third to sixth for the Play-In; seventh to tenth miss the finals.

How to use the NBL ladder

  • Teams are ordered by winning percentage, then by wins and point differential.
  • The two green rows go straight to the semi-finals; the lighter band is the Play-In.

NBL ladder FAQ

How many NBL teams make the finals?

Six of the ten. The top two reach the semi-finals directly, and third to sixth play the Play-In for the other two semi-final places.

How are teams level on wins separated?

This ladder uses wins and then point differential. The NBL applies its own tie-break rules, which look first at results between the tied teams, so in a close race the official order can differ from this one.

Who were the 2025-26 NBL regular-season champions?

The Sydney Kings, who finished top of the ladder and went on to win the 2026 Championship Series against the Adelaide 36ers.
