WNBA on Vertize Sports
The 2026 WNBA season on Vertize Sports is organized from this hub: the schedule with every regular-season result, a simulator for the standings and our WNBA articles. With the regular season over, attention turns to an eight-team playoff that runs through October.
The league's 30th season had 15 teams, two more than in 2025, after the Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire joined as expansion clubs. Each team played 44 games between May 8 and Sept. 24, and the eight best records across the whole league went through to the playoffs.

When are the 2026 WNBA Finals?
Game 1 is scheduled for Oct. 17, and if the series goes the full seven games it ends on Oct. 31. The Finals are best-of-seven in a 2-2-1-1-1 format, so the higher seed hosts Games 1, 2, 5 and 7.
Who is the defending WNBA champion?
The Las Vegas Aces, who won the 2025 title against the Phoenix Mercury. They enter the 2026 playoffs as the No. 3 seed after closing the regular season with seven straight wins, chasing a fourth championship in five seasons.
Which team had the best record in the 2026 WNBA season?
The Minnesota Lynx, at 33-11, earning the No. 1 seed. The Golden State Valkyries finished a game back at 32-12 and took the No. 2 seed in only their second season in the league.
