About the WNBA simulator
The WNBA simulator turns results into conference standings: enter the score of a game that has not been played and both tables rebuild at once, while finished games stay locked with their real scores. The 2026 regular season finished on Sept. 24, so every game is now locked and the tables show the final standings.
Fifteen teams played 44 games each in 2026, split into an Eastern and a Western Conference. Three playoff rounds follow from Sept. 27 to late October, and the Minnesota Lynx start them as the No. 1 seed.
How to use the WNBA simulator
- With the 2026 season complete, step through the months and nights to see every result behind the final tables.
- When games remain, type a score beside any unplayed game and both conference tables re-sort as you type.
- The Simulate season button plays out everything left, and Simulate night settles a single night of games.
- Clear removes your entries and brings back the real standings.
- Marked rows in each table show the playoff places.

How do teams qualify for the WNBA playoffs?
On overall record. The eight best teams in the league qualify regardless of conference and are seeded one to eight, so the first round pairs No. 1 with No. 8, No. 2 with No. 7, No. 3 with No. 6 and No. 4 with No. 5.
Who meets whom in the 2026 WNBA first round?
Minnesota plays New York, Golden State plays Dallas, defending champion Las Vegas plays Indiana and Atlanta plays Washington. All four best-of-three series begin on Sunday, Sept. 27, and the round is scheduled to finish by Oct. 2.
How does the WNBA simulator decide games?
Every rating comes from the 2026 season. The simulator compares the two teams' average scoring margins, adds the home-court advantage measured in 2026 games and then draws a result with the spread of randomness seen in real games, so upsets happen at a realistic rate.
How long is each WNBA playoff series?
The first round is best-of-three in a 1-1-1 format, the semifinals are best-of-five (2-2-1) and the Finals best-of-seven (2-2-1-1-1). A first-round series can end in two games, while the Finals can run to seven.
