About the race calendar
Follow the 2026 F1 schedule weekend by weekend: the dates and circuit of every Grand Prix, and the winner of each race already run. The NASCAR and IndyCar seasons sit on the same page, one click away, each shown as a separate calendar.
The calendar began with 24 rounds and fell to 22 on March 14, when the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races were called off because of the war in the Middle East. A Bahrain Grand Prix staged at Sepang, Malaysia, on October 2-4 brought it back to 23. As of late September, teams expected a decision by mid-October on Qatar (November 27-29) and Abu Dhabi (December 4-6).
How to use the race calendar
- Formula 1 loads first; the buttons above the list swap in IndyCar or any of NASCAR's three national series.
- Scroll the season month by month; every race shows its dates and the circuit or track.
- Once a race has been run, its winner is added to the row.
- Totals at the top show how many races the chosen series runs and how many months its season spans.
Race calendar FAQ
Which 2026 F1 races have a sprint?
Six weekends: China, Miami, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Singapore, which closes the sprint season on October 9-11. On those weekends Friday has one practice session and sprint qualifying, and Saturday has the 100 km sprint followed by qualifying for Sunday's Grand Prix.
What happens on a normal F1 race weekend?
Friday has two one-hour practice sessions, and Saturday a third practice before qualifying. Qualifying is a three-part knockout: with 22 cars in 2026, six drop out in Q1 and six more in Q2, and the last ten fight for pole in Q3. The race, usually on Sunday, covers at least 305 km, except at Monaco.
When does the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season end?
On November 8 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the 36th and last race. The final ten races form the Chase, NASCAR's postseason format for 2026: the 16 drivers highest in points after the 26-race regular season compete for the title, with no eliminations and no one-race decider.
When did the 2026 IndyCar season end?
On September 6 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. The 18-race season had opened on March 1 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, and the 110th Indianapolis 500 was run on May 24.
