About the Super Rugby Pacific table

The Super Rugby Pacific table on this page uses the competition's own points system: four for a win, two for a draw, one for losing by seven points or fewer and one try bonus point for scoring three or more tries than the opposition. That last rule is what sets Super Rugby apart from the Premiership and the Six Nations, where four tries are enough whatever the other side scores.

Until the 2027 season kicks off on 12 February, the page shows the final 2026 table, when the Hurricanes finished top with 55 points ahead of the Chiefs on 51. Teams level on points are split by wins, then points difference, then tries scored, then try difference. From 2027 the top six reach the finals, with the top two going straight to the semi-finals.

How to use the Super Rugby Pacific table

  • Green rows are the play-off places. In 2027 the darker green is the top two, who skip the elimination finals, and the lighter band is third to sixth.
  • TB counts try bonus points (three tries more than the opponent), LB losing bonus points.
  • The play-off results sit under the table, round by round. The Super Rugby predictor plays out the season.

Super Rugby Pacific table FAQ

How does the Super Rugby Pacific try bonus work?

A team earns one bonus point when it scores at least three more tries than its opponent. Winning 5 tries to 2 earns it; winning 5 tries to 3 does not. We checked this rule against every 2026 result: it reproduces the official table for all eleven teams.

How many teams make the Super Rugby Pacific finals?

Six. In 2026 they played quarter-finals; from 2027 first and second go straight to the semi-finals and third to sixth play elimination finals.
