AFL Ladder Predictor 2026
The 2026 season is over. Pick a round to replay it from, tip every game from there and watch the ladder settle. Times are in Sydney time (AEST/AEDT).
Brisbane Lions won the 2026 premiership, beating Fremantle 96–89 in the Grand Final on Saturday 26 September. The 2027 fixture has not been published yet. The AFL usually releases the next season’s fixture in October or November. This predictor switches to 2027 on its own as soon as it is out; until then it shows the 2026 season in full. Tasmania join the AFL in 2028, so 2027 is again an 18-club season.

About the AFL ladder predictor
The AFL ladder predictor lets you tip every game still to play and watch the ladder settle as you go. Tap a team to tip it and the model writes a winning score for it, which you can change; the margin counts, because percentage splits teams level on points.
Out of season, when every game is final, the predictor turns into a replay: pick a round and the real results from there on are cleared, ready to be tipped again. The 2026 season can be replayed from any of its 25 rounds; when the 2027 fixture is published, the page moves to it on its own.
How to use the AFL ladder predictor
- Choose a round in Replay to clear the real results from that round onwards, or keep every real result.
- Tap a team to tip it, type a score yourself, or use Simulate round and Simulate season to let the model fill in the gaps.
- The ladder updates with every tip, with the top six and the wildcard places marked; Clear tips takes it back to the real results.
AFL ladder predictor FAQ
How does the predictor pick scores?
It draws a margin and a total from what the 2026 home-and-away season looked like: an average total of 178 points, a home side about seven points better on average, and each club's strength taken from its points differential per game. When you tip a team, the score is flipped if needed so that team wins.
Does the predictor use results from after the round I replay from?
No. Once enough results are locked, the strength of each club comes only from the games before your replay point; before that it falls back on the previous season. Replaying from Round 10 does not know how Round 20 went.
Does the AFL ladder predictor play the finals?
No. It settles the home-and-away ladder, which decides who finishes in the top six and who plays the Wildcard Round. The finals themselves are listed with their results on the AFL ladder.
