About the Premiership Rugby table

The Premiership Rugby table on this page ranks the ten clubs on league points: four for a win, two for a draw, one bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a game and one for losing by seven points or fewer. A club can therefore take five points from a win and two from a defeat.

Teams level on points are separated by the number of wins, then points difference, then points scored, then the points scored in the games between them. The top four reach the semi-finals. The 2026-27 season is the first under the league's new franchise-style model, with no automatic relegation on results.

How to use the Premiership Rugby table

  • Green rows are the four semi-final places; the line under fourth is the cut.
  • TB and LB are each club's try and losing bonus points, PD its points difference. Form shows the last five results, oldest first.
  • The table is counted from every result on the Premiership fixtures and checked against the official standings. The Premiership predictor plays out the rest.

Premiership Rugby table FAQ

How many points is a try bonus in the Premiership?

One. A team that scores four or more tries in a game gets one extra league point, whether it wins, draws or loses. Combined with the losing bonus, a team that scores four tries and loses by seven or fewer takes two points.

How do the Premiership play-offs work?

The top four after 18 rounds play semi-finals, first at home to fourth and second at home to third. The winners meet in the final at Twickenham. In 2027 the semi-finals are on 11 and 12 June and the final on 19 June.

Is there relegation from the Premiership?

Not automatically. From 2026-27 the league uses a criteria-based model for joining and leaving instead of promotion and relegation on results, so finishing bottom does not by itself send a club down.
