What the site covers
12 sports: Soccer, NFL, College Football, NBA, College Basketball, WNBA, MLB, NHL, Tennis, Formula 1, Golf, UFC. For each one there are schedules or fixtures, results and the live table, standings, rankings or leaderboard, depending on how that sport is decided. Many competitions also have a simulator, and each sport has a blog that explains the rules and the numbers behind it.
Everything is free, and there is no account to create. Nothing you type into a simulator is stored: refresh the page and the season goes back to what really happened.
Who makes it
The site is built and edited by Angel Aguilar, who also runs its sister site, Fut Simulator, a soccer simulator published in ten languages. The data pieces on the blog are his, and each one says how its numbers were counted.
The rules it follows
- Results are facts. Games that have been played are locked in every simulator, with their real scores.
- No invented numbers. Where there is no rating solid enough to simulate a competition, the site offers no simulate button rather than a guess.
- Every model is published. The methodology page explains how each simulator decides a game.
- Mistakes get fixed. If a score, a time or a fact is wrong, write to futsimulator@proton.me and it will be corrected.
Where the data comes from
Schedules, scores, standings, rankings, draws and leaderboards come from live sports data feeds and are refreshed about every 30 minutes. Kick-off and tip-off times for the North American leagues are shown in US Eastern.
Team names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify the teams. Vertize Sports is independent and is not affiliated with any league, team or governing body.
