NRL Ladder 2026

Two competition points for a win, one for a draw and two for every bye; teams level on points are split by points differential. The top eight make the finals, and the top four get a second chance. The ladder predictor plays out the rest.

2026 season complete

The Roosters won the 2026 premiership, beating the Knights 19–18 in the Grand Final on Sunday 4 October. The 2027 draw has not been published yet. The NRL usually releases the next season’s draw in November. This page switches to 2027 on its own as soon as it is out; until then it shows the 2026 season in full. The Perth Bears join the NRL in 2027, taking the competition to 18 clubs.

About the NRL ladder

The NRL ladder on this page ranks the clubs on competition points: two for a win, one for a draw and two for every bye. Clubs level on points are separated by points differential, then by points scored. Each row shows games played, wins, losses, draws, byes, points for and against, differential, points and form.

The top eight make the finals and the ladder marks them in two bands: the top four, who get a second chance in the qualifying finals, and fifth to eighth, who play elimination finals. The finals results sit underneath, week by week, to the Grand Final.

How to use the NRL ladder

  • The ladder is counted from the results on the NRL draw, byes included, so the two always agree.
  • The B column counts byes already taken. A bye is credited once its round is complete.

NRL ladder FAQ

How many points is a bye worth in the NRL?

Two, the same as a win. It keeps the ladder fair while the competition has an odd number of clubs, because in any round one team cannot play. In 2026 every club had three byes.

How are NRL teams level on points separated?

By points differential, points scored minus points conceded. In 2026 Penrith and the Warriors both finished on 42 points, and Penrith took the minor premiership with a differential of +336 to the Warriors' +310.

Can an NRL game end in a draw?

Yes, but rarely. A game level after 80 minutes goes to golden point extra time, and the first score wins. Only if nobody scores in that extra period is it a draw, worth one point to each side. There were no draws in the 2026 regular season.
