Premier League all-time top scorers: who has the most goals
Shearer scored his 260 for Blackburn Rovers (112) and Newcastle United (148) from 1992-93 to 2005-06, and the Premier League's records page lists him as its top scorer. Behind Kane, who scored all 213 for Tottenham Hotspur, the league's all-time list runs Wayne Rooney 208, Mohamed Salah 193, Cole 187, Sergio Agüero 184, Frank Lampard 177 and Thierry Henry 175.
Nobody has come within 47 goals of that total. Shearer has topped the career list at the end of all 33 seasons from 1993-94 to 2025-26, and his 260 has stood through the 20 full seasons played since he left. Kane moved to Bayern Munich in 2023, Rooney's last Premier League season was 2017-18, and Salah joined Trabzonspor in August. The top scorer of each season is in our list of Golden Boot winners.

Most Premier League goals without penalties
The league's data records every penalty, so the whole list can be re-sorted without them, as it did for the top five in 2024. Shearer still leads with 204, ahead of Cole's 186, Rooney's 185 and Kane's 180. The 35 members scored 551 penalties, 11 percent of their 4,951 goals. Shearer's 56 are the league record and Lampard's 43 are second, while Steven Gerrard's 32 are 27 percent of his 120 goals, the biggest share of any member.
- Climbing: besides Cole, Les Ferdinand goes from 12th to eighth, since his 149 are the most by any player without a penalty, and Emile Heskey and Peter Crouch each gain five places.
- Falling: Kane goes from second to fourth and Lampard from seventh to 12th. Gerrard drops furthest, from 24th to 34th.
- Under 100: 30 members still have 100 without penalties, with Didier Drogba on exactly 100. Five do not: Ian Wright (97), Darren Bent (89), Cristiano Ronaldo (89), Gerrard (88) and Matt Le Tissier (75). Nobody outside the club gets there; Ole Gunnar Solskjaer comes closest with 91, none of them penalties.
Rooney missed 11 of his 34 penalties, tied with Shearer for the league record, and five more conversions would have put him level with Kane. Le Tissier scored 25 of his 26.
Premier League 100 club: all 35 members
Haaland became the 35th member on December 2, 2025, the first new one since Son Heung-min in April 2023, and Le Tissier is last with exactly 100.

Goals per game in the 100 club: Haaland first, Shearer fifth
Sorted by goals per game, Haaland's 0.86 is well clear of Henry (0.68), Agüero (0.67) and Kane (0.67), with Shearer fifth at 0.59, just ahead of Salah. Ronaldo climbs the most, from 34th to 12th, and Lampard, a midfielder, falls the most, from seventh to 30th, with Rooney going from third to 17th. Ryan Giggs is last at 0.17 after 632 games, the most in the club.
Minutes and penalties change the order again. Agüero averaged 72 minutes per game and Shearer 87, the most in the club, so per 90 minutes and without penalties Agüero is second at 0.71 behind Haaland's 0.77, and Shearer is 14th at 0.48. Scoring explains only part of Haaland's edge: the league averaged 2.61 goals per game over Shearer's 14 seasons and 2.94 over Haaland's five, 13 percent more, while Haaland's own rate is 46 percent above Shearer's. Our count of goals per game compares the league with 15 others in 2025-26.

Fastest to 100 Premier League goals
Haaland holds the record at 111 games, 13 fewer than Shearer. They were almost the same age: Haaland was 25 years, 134 days old and Shearer 25 years, 139 days. No one else had 100 until Ferdinand, more than 16 months after Shearer. Of these 10, Michael Owen was the youngest and Wright, at 33, the oldest.

Most Premier League goals for one club
Kane's 213 for Tottenham are the league's record for one club, and none came in a title-winning season, since Tottenham are not among the Premier League's winners. Ten clubs have had a player reach 100 for them, and Shearer is the only one to do it for two:
- Tottenham Hotspur: Kane 213, Son Heung-min 127
- Liverpool: Salah 191, Robbie Fowler 128, Gerrard 120, Michael Owen 118
- Manchester City: Agüero 184, Haaland 121
- Manchester United: Rooney 183, Giggs 109, Paul Scholes 107, Ronaldo 103
- Arsenal: Henry 175, Wright 104
- Newcastle United: Shearer 148
- Chelsea: Lampard 147, Drogba 104
- Leicester City: Jamie Vardy 145
- Blackburn Rovers: Shearer 112
- Southampton: Le Tissier 100
Add up all 35 by club and Manchester United lead with 757 goals from 11 members, ahead of Liverpool (735 from 10) and Tottenham (682 from eight). Twelve members scored for one club only and 17 for three or more. Six scored for six clubs each, Cole, Ferdinand, Crouch, Bent, Robbie Keane and Nicolas Anelka, one short of the record held by Craig Bellamy, who finished with 81.
How concentrated the record is: the 100 club by era
The 35 have scored 4,951 of the league's 35,721 goals, 13.9 percent, or about one in seven. More than half of theirs, 54 percent, came from players who debuted in the 1990s, eight of them already in the league in its first season, 1992-93:
- 1990s: 19 members, 2,678 goals, led by Shearer
- 2000s: seven members, 935 goals, led by Rooney
- 2010s: eight members, 1,217 goals, led by Kane
- 2020s: one member, 121 goals, Haaland
Active Premier League top scorers in 2026-27
Haaland is the only member of the club in a 2026-27 squad, and tied for 22nd he is the highest-ranked active player. Seven other members are still playing elsewhere, according to the league's player records: Kane at Bayern Munich, Salah at Trabzonspor, Jamie Vardy at Burnley in the Championship, Son at Los Angeles FC, Romelu Lukaku at Fenerbahçe, and Sadio Mané and Ronaldo at Al Nassr. Ollie Watkins, who has 91, joined Al Hilal in August. Goals in every competition are in our list of the most goals in football history.

| Callum Wilson | Brentford | 95 | 277 | 5 | 15 |
| Chris Wood | Nottingham Forest | 92 | 286 | 8 | 25 |

Haaland has 121 Premier League goals in 141 games, including nine in nine this season, three more than Liverpool's Alexander Isak. As arithmetic rather than a forecast, at his career rate of 0.86 per game he would need three games to reach Dwight Yorke and Raheem Sterling on 123, 84 to reach Salah's 193, 108 to reach Kane's 213 and 162 to reach Shearer's 260, which would be his 303rd game. Shearer played 441.

How this was built: goals, games, minutes and penalties come from the Premier League's all-time player statistics, read on November 4, 2026, through matchweek 9 of 2026-27 (the last game was Newcastle United 0-1 Everton on November 2). They match its 100 club table of December 2025, apart from later goals by Salah and Haaland, and Wikipedia's list, our source for goals by club and first seasons, checked against the league's career records where complete. Without penalties means goals minus penalties scored. Current clubs come from the league's 20 squads and player records. The league total counts every result since 1992-93, own goals included, and fits the date of its 35,000th goal. The season-end lead uses Wikipedia's season tables. See also our methodology.
