About the La Liga table
This La Liga table tracks the 2026-27 standings of Spain's top flight as results come in, with each club's points, goal difference and full record alongside a strip of its last five results. Shaded rows pick out the Champions League places, the next two European spots and the three clubs in the drop zone.
Barcelona begin 2026-27 as the reigning champions. Each club plays 38 games between August 2026 and May 30, 2027, and at the end the clubs in 18th, 19th and 20th place drop to LaLiga 2, swapping places with the second division's top two and its playoff winner.

La Liga table FAQ
Which tiebreakers does La Liga use?
Head-to-head comes first. For two clubs, goal difference in their two meetings decides; for three or more, a mini-table of the games among them, then overall goal difference, goals scored and fair play. In 2025-26 that mini-table sent Mallorca down on 42 points, level with Levante and Osasuna, despite a better goal difference than Levante.
Which La Liga positions lead to European competition?
Six through the league in a normal season. The top four go into the Champions League league phase, fifth place goes to the Europa League and sixth to the Conference League playoff round. UEFA sets each country's allocation, so the cutoffs can move.
Which club won the 2025-26 La Liga title?
Barcelona, for the second year running and the 29th time in all. They clinched it on May 10, 2026 with three games to spare, beating Real Madrid 2-0 in El Clásico, and finished on 94 points, eight ahead of Real Madrid.
