About the Serie A table
This Serie A table ranks Italy's 20 top-flight clubs for 2026-27 and updates as results come in, so the title race, the chase for Europe and the fight against relegation can be read at a glance. Each row adds goals scored and conceded and a strip of the last five results, and shading sets apart the European places and the bottom three.
Inter start the season as champions after a league and cup double in 2025-26. The campaign ends on May 30, 2027; by then the title, four Champions League places and three relegation spots will have been settled, unless a tie on points forces a playoff.

Serie A table FAQ
Why can a Serie A team with a worse goal difference finish higher?
Because Serie A looks at the head-to-head record first: points in the games between the tied clubs, then goal difference in those games. Only after that come overall goal difference, goals scored and, as a last resort, a drawing of lots.
Is there a playoff if teams tie for the title or for survival?
Yes. A tie on points for first is settled by a single playoff match and a tie for 17th by a two-legged playoff; if the score is level, it goes straight to penalties. From 2026-27 neither is played if one of the clubs is in a European final; head-to-head decides instead.
What does finishing fifth, sixth or seventh in Serie A lead to?
Fifth earns a Europa League place and sixth a spot in the Conference League playoff round, behind the top four, who go into the Champions League league phase. The Coppa Italia winner also gets a Europa League place; when Inter won both in 2025-26, it passed to sixth-placed Juventus, and seventh-placed Atalanta took the Conference League spot.
How did Inter win the 2025-26 scudetto?
Comfortably. Inter clinched their 21st title on May 3, 2026 by beating Parma 2-0 with three rounds to spare, in Cristian Chivu's first season as Inter coach, finished on 87 points, 11 clear of Napoli, and added the Coppa Italia ten days later.
