About the National League table
Follow the 2026-27 National League table here, with every club's games played, wins, draws, defeats, goals, goal difference, points and last-five form, refreshed as results arrive. Only first place brings automatic promotion; second to seventh are marked as playoff places and 21st to 24th as the relegation zone.
The champions go straight up to League Two, so the top of this table decides who joins the EFL next season. The regular season runs until April 24, 2027, and Barrow and Harrogate Town, relegated from League Two in 2026, are among the clubs trying to bounce straight back.

National League table FAQ
Which club came up from the National League as champions in 2026?
York City, with 108 points, ending 10 years outside the EFL. The title was settled on the final day, April 25, 2026, by a 1-1 draw away to second-placed Rochdale, who finished on 106 and went up anyway through the playoffs.
How many clubs drop out of the National League?
Four. Clubs finishing 21st to 24th go down to step two, split between the National League North and South, and their places go to the champions and playoff winners of those two leagues. Brackley Town, Morecambe, Braintree Town and Truro City were relegated in 2025-26.
Can a National League club be refused promotion to the EFL?
Yes, if it fails the EFL's entry rules. A club hoping to go up must lodge its application by November 30 of the season and show it will meet the ground and other qualification criteria by March 1, and once in the EFL it cannot play on an artificial pitch.
