About the Serie A simulator

Run your own version of Italy's 2026-27 season with the Serie A simulator. Scores typed into unplayed games flow straight into the standings, and a model can complete one round or the entire remaining schedule whenever you want to see a full projection.

What already happened is not up for debate: the page locks every result that is in. In your projection, markers show which clubs would reach the Champions League, which would take the two European places after that and which three would go down to Serie B. The model starts with Inter, the reigning champions, as its highest-rated side.

How to use the Serie A simulator

  • To test a title race, fill in only the games between the contenders and leave the rest blank.
  • The model works at two scales: a single round with Simulate matchday, or the whole run-in with Simulate season, which replaces typed scores.
  • A progress bar counts how many of the open games have a score.
  • Hit Clear whenever you want the real table back without any projected results.
  • Your starting point is the Serie A table as it stands.

Serie A simulator FAQ

Which numbers drive the Serie A simulator's predictions?

Two inputs per club: its 2025-26 finishing position and the market value of its squad, with value weighted slightly more. The gap between two clubs' ratings sets how many goals each is expected to score, the home side gets a small edge, and the actual score is drawn at random from a Poisson distribution.

How are Venezia, Frosinone and Monza rated?

Each counts as a 19th-place finish, since none played in Serie A last season, combined with its squad value. That leaves Frosinone and Monza as the two lowest-rated clubs, while Venezia's higher squad value lifts it just above Lecce.

What if two teams finish level on points for 17th in my projection?

The simulator separates them by goal difference and then goals scored, but under Serie A rules they would normally meet in a two-legged playoff, with the loser relegated. Treat any tie at that line in your projection as a playoff still to be played.
