About the Eliteserien simulator
Use this Eliteserien simulator to project how the 2026 season ends: put a score on any remaining match and the standings recalculate instantly. If you would rather not pick every result yourself, the model can complete the fixture list, either all at once or one matchday at a time.
Results already on the books are locked, so the starting point is always the actual table. At the bottom, two clubs are relegated automatically and the club in 14th goes into a playoff with a team from the OBOS-ligaen, while the top of the table decides the title and Europe.
How to use the Eliteserien simulator
- Enter a home and an away score in any open match; the standings recalculate the moment you type.
- Press Simulate season to fill all remaining matches, or Simulate matchday for just the round in play.
- Once a match has been played, its real score is locked in and cannot be changed.
- Use Clear to erase every score you added and start again from the real table.
- In the projected table, the top places carry European markers and the bottom two a relegation marker.
Eliteserien simulator FAQ
What are the Eliteserien simulator's team ratings based on?
On how clubs fared last season, measured as goals scored minus goals conceded per match in the 2025 Eliteserien. Goals in every simulated match are then drawn from a Poisson distribution with a slight home edge, and Lillestrøm, Start and Aalesund, who have no 2025 top-division record, begin below the league average.
What is the difference between Simulate season and Simulate matchday?
Simulate season gives a model score to every match left in the 2026 Eliteserien in one go. Simulate matchday only handles the round that is up next, so you can check the table after each round and type your own results in between.
Is the relegation playoff part of the simulation?
No, the page covers the 30 league rounds only. The projected table flags the two direct relegation places; whoever finishes 14th would then face the OBOS-ligaen playoff winner over two legs, a tie this page does not simulate.
