About the Ligue 2 simulator
Decide how the 2026-27 season finishes with this Ligue 2 simulator: type results into the games not yet played and the standings rearrange as you go. If you prefer, the model fills the gaps, either one matchday or everything left on the calendar.
Because real results are fixed, each run builds on the table as it actually stands. The top two win promotion and third to fifth go into the playoffs for a shot at Ligue 1; at the bottom, 17th and 18th fall into the new Ligue 3 while 16th must survive a two-legged tie against a Ligue 3 club.
How to use the Ligue 2 simulator
- Click into an unplayed game, type the goals for each side, and watch positions and points change.
- Simulate matchday scores only the round on screen; Simulate season scores every open match, replacing any results you typed.
- Scores from games already played come from the real results and are read-only.
- Use Clear to blank out every simulated or typed score in one step.
- Promotion places, the third-to-fifth playoff spots and the relegation zone are all marked in the projected table.
Ligue 2 simulator FAQ
How does the Ligue 2 simulator rate teams?
It works from the 2025-26 tables of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2: a club's goal margin per game is compared with its own division, and the higher division adds a step. Metz and Nantes therefore get credit for playing a level up, while Dijon and Sochaux, promoted from the third tier, begin under the league average.
Does the simulator play out the Ligue 2 playoffs?
No. It stops after the 34th matchday. Your final table shows which three clubs would reach the playoffs and which would face relegation or a playoff against a Ligue 3 side, but those knockout games are not simulated.
Can I change a result the simulator has entered?
Yes. Any score the model fills in stays editable, so you can type over it and the table updates at once. Only matches that have really been played are locked, and Clear removes every entry if you want to start again.
